A Holy Calling

"...who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,"

The Call of God:  This lesson is especially designed for those who are either serving in Christian ministry or are wrestling with the call to full time ministry.  Starting with the example of John the Baptist, we see the pattern, privilege, practice and power of the New Testament preacher.  Following the lesson there is an in depth discussion time concerning what the call of God is.

Useful For Ministry .... Again:  This lesson is designed for the minister who is aware of some failure in his life which has affected his ability to minister.  The lesson is based on the life of John Mark, who, after once departed from the work, was refused by Paul to travel with him again.  However, Mark became "useful for ministry" again (2 Tim. 4:11) and "proved to be a comfort" (Col. 4:11) to Paul once more.  The lesson is followed by a powerful discussion of being a useful minister.  Click here (or on the CD picture at right) to download the message.

Taking God's Name Rightly
:
This is a powerful lesson that address an area that every minister cannot afford to come up short in.  This lesson may be surprising to the minister.  It may even be shocking for the minister to discover just how much his life, his ministry, and his usefulness in revealing the glory of the Lord to others depends upon the reverence he has for the Lord and how he encourages others for the Lord.  Jesus taught us to pray, "Hallowed be Thy Name", and God has promised that he will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.  This message has the potential to break hearts, but also it points to Him who heals hearts.  This lesson has to be well received.

The Preacher's Goodbye
:
This lesson is very instructional for the minister, whether he be young or old - though there will be special blessing potential for those ministers who are young and desire to run their race well.  Based largely upon the life of the apostle Paul, the minister is faced with what is required in order to finish the race with joy.  There is a discussion that follows the lesson.
